A man who was lying on DART tracks was struck by a train late Wednesday night near Deep Ellum, officials said.
The man, who has not been identified, was hit by a Green Line train about 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Exposition Avenue and Elm Street, between Baylor Station East and Fair Park Station, DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said in an email.
The man's legs were badly injured, but he was breathing and conscious. He was transported to a hospital.
The scene was cleared about 11:45 p.m.
Green Line passengers faced some delays after the accident.
