Gym class heroes: PE-inspired ways grown-ups can have fun in Dallas

Just because you're old enough to have elementary school children doesn't mean you can't play the same sports they do. Relive those glorious PE memories filled with dodgeball, kickball and flag football without feeling like the oldest one in the room by joining a local adult social club or finding a nearby venue.

From new and inventive sports like whirlyball and bubble soccer to tried-and-true classics like sand volleyball and flag football, there's something for everyone. Worried you might be the last one picked? If you can't assemble an entire team, most of the venues listed here will pair you up with an existing team to avoid that reoccurring nightmare.

Want to know how to win like a champion? Just remember the golden rule: If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball (or a tackle).
